Coral Frags Corals are an animal that grow in large groups called colonies, and the colonies are made up of numerous polyps. Corals reproduce either sexually or by budding. Here at the Aqua Farm we practice fragmenting, a controlled form of coral budding. Polyps are cut from the 'mother colony' and then glued to a small rock or frag plug. From there the coral is free to grow around the rock or plug and then onto the surrounding surfaces. We believe captive propagation of coral is an act toward conserving natural reefs.

To help decrease the harvest from natural coral reefs, the Aqua Farm has these coral frags available for purchase . A selection of SPS, LPS, and soft corals is always available. The variety of the coral is constantly changing to keep with demand.
