LPS Corals Aqua-Farm

General Care Information: Large Polyp Stony Corals are generally larger calcareous corals with large fleshy polyps. The amount of light and current will determine the degree of extension of tentacles.

Diet: Varies among different species of LPS corals.
Feeding: In general LPS corals likes to eat Filter Feeding Invert Food, and Mysis Shrimp.
Behavior: LPS Species are generally semi-aggressive toward other tank mates
Care: LPS are generally a medium-maintenance specimen.
Lighting: Has intermediate lighting needs. Symbiotic algae zooxanthellae are hosted within this organism.
Water flow: Generally Requires intermediate to low water flow.
General notes: LPS Corals require strict aquarium chemistry, since many of them are fast growers. Proper calcium and magnesium are a must.
Water parameters: Keep water quality high (SG 1.023 - 1.025, pH 8.1 - 8.4, Temp. 72 - 78° F).
